How do I restore my Pro membership after reinstalling the app?

Open the app → Profile → Upgrade to Pro → tap "Restore Purchases". Your purchase will be detected and restored automatically.

My Trip Plan+ credit was used but I didn't receive an itinerary. What do I do?

This can happen if the connection drops during generation. Email us at hello@compassandcrane.com with your account email and the date of the attempt — we'll manually restore the credit within 24 hours.

How do I delete my account and all my data?

Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your trips, saved places, and personal data within 30 days. This action cannot be undone.

The AI trip planner is not responding. What should I check?

Make sure you have an internet connection. AI features require a live connection and cannot work offline. If the issue persists, force-close the app and reopen it.

Can I use Travel China in China? Does it work without a VPN?

The app itself works in China. However, some AI features connect to servers that may require a VPN depending on your location. We recommend setting up a VPN before you travel — our Survival Guide has a step-by-step setup guide.

How do I request a refund?

In-app purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. For refunds, contact Apple Support (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play Support directly. For technical issues that caused the problem, also email us so we can assist.

I found incorrect information in a city guide. How do I report it?

Email us at hello@compassandcrane.com with the city name and the specific information that needs correction. We review and update content regularly.
